We don't always march into our professional life knowing exactly what we want to do or what company we want to work for; it simply takes time to figure out. In today's episode, we chat with Daniel De Jesus Garcia and unravel how he maneuvered through the Financial vertical and land a Vice President role at TimesSquare Capital, a global asset manager with over $14 billion in assets under management. Prior to joining TimesSquare, Daniel was Head of Research & COO of DPM Capital, where he sourced equity investment ideas on a global basis and helped manage the trading and portfolio risk functions of the firm. Prior to that, Daniel worked at Millennium Management, where he was the lead analyst for a portfolio of Latin American and South European equities. Daniel started his career at J.P. Morgan as an Associate in the Latin American Derivatives Structuring group, focusing on helping corporations use derivatives for risk management purposes. Daniel graduated summa cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Economics with concentrations in Finance and Statistics and is a member of the CFA Institute.
